The Bayou Pots are a chapter of the Louisiana Dutch
Oven Society, International Dutch Oven Society
and the Lone Star Dutch Oven Society. We are
charted with preserving the art of black pot cooking,
also known as Dutch Oven cooking.
We help preserve the historical aspects of this
several hundred-year-old cooking techniques.
We provide the opportunity for people who are
interested to participate in historical events,
outdoor recreational expositions, and community
educational activities.
We offer membership to all those interested in
cooking or learning to cook in a Dutch Oven, or if
just like to come out for Food, Fun and Fellowship.
